C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Emmanuel Proulx, né à Boulogne sur mer en France, habitant Ottawa Ontario et originaire de Hearst Ontario, le mercredi 22 avril 2026, à l’âge de 44 ans, fils d’Alain Proulx (Stéphanie Proulx), et Claudine Locqueville (Don Wilson), frère de Frédérique Proulx (Fred-Eric Salvail), Alexis Proulx (Jennifer Liesman) Raphaëlle Proulx (Jérémy Pominville), et frère et sœur d’union de Zachary Cloutier (Sophie Pouliot) et Kyana Cloutier. Il laisse également dans le deuil son amoureuse Sofia Martinez, sa grand-mère paternelle Yvette Boulanger, ses neveux et nièces Edward Salvail, Mia Florence Salvail, William Bordeleau et Benjamin Proulx, Lexi-Ann et feu Ashton Proulx. Ses oncles et tantes, feu Robert Proulx et marraine Hélène Proulx, Yves Proulx et Marlene Savage, Jocelyne Proulx (Maggie Cole), parrain Alain Locqueville (Nadine), Christian et Patrice Locqueville, et plusieurs cousins-cousines, amis.es et collègues de travail.

Emmanuel était conseiller financier pour l’Office des transports du Canada. Il adorait ses neveux-nièces, les jeux vidéo, passer du temps au chalet familial et sa famille.

Le tout se déroulera le 1er mai 2026 au Salon funéraire Fournier de 10h à midi pour la famille proche et de 14 à 16h pour le grand public. Les Funérailles auront lieu à la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de l’Assomption de Hearst à 16h15.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emmanuel Proulx, born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, a resident of Ottawa, Ontario, and originally from Hearst, Ontario, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 44.

He is the son of Alain Proulx (Stéphanie Proulx) and Claudine Locqueville (Don Wilson), and the brother of Frédérique Proulx (Fred-Eric Salvail), Alexis Proulx (Jennifer Liesman), and Raphaëlle Proulx (Jérémy Pominville). He is also the stepbrother and stepsister of Zachary Cloutier (Sophie Pouliot) and Kyana Cloutier.

He is lovingly remembered by his partner Sofia Martinez; his paternal grandmother Yvette Boulanger; his nieces and nephews Edward Salvail, Mia Florence Salvail, William Bordeleau, Benjamin Proulx, Lexi-Ann, and the late Ashton Proulx; as well as his uncles and aunts, the late Robert Proulx and godmother Hélène Proulx, Yves Proulx and Marlene Savage, Jocelyne Proulx (Maggie Cole), godfather Alain Locqueville (Nadine), Christian and Patrice Locqueville, along with many cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Emmanuel worked as a financial advisor for Transport Canada. He had a deep love for his nieces and nephews, enjoyed video games, spending time at the family cottage, and being with his family.

Visitation will be held on May 1, 2026, at Fournier Funeral Services, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for immediate family, and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the public. The funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral in Hearst.
