It is with sadness and with the hope found in God’s promises that we announce the peaceful passing of Louis Labrie on July 28, 2026, at Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst, at the age of 85.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Huguette(late Johnny); his children, Suzanne(Eric), François, and Louis(Doris); his grandchildren, Isabelle, Patrick, Joshua, Frankie, Jessy, Brandon, and Ashley; and his great-grandchildren, Emma, Mérick, and Bentley.

With the hope of eternal life, we take comfort in knowing that Louis has now been reunited with his beloved grandson, Chance, and with his siblings, Suzanne, Marie, Yollande, Denis, Gaëtan, and Claude.

Louis was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. As a Christian, he lived with quiet humility, unwavering faith, and complete trust in God’s promises. Though a man of few words, his life reflected integrity, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for his family and the Lord.

We take comfort in the words of Scripture: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

The family sincerely thanks the staff at Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst for their compassionate care and kindness.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

C’est avec une profonde tristesse, mais également avec la paix et l’espérance que nous donnent les promesses de Dieu, que nous annonçons le décès de Louis Labrie, survenu paisiblement le 28 juillet 2026, à l’Hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst, à l’âge de 85 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur, Huguette(feu Johnny); ses enfants, Suzanne(Eric), François et Louis(Doris); ses petits-enfants, Isabelle, Patrick, Joshua, Frankie, Jessy, Brandon et Ashley; ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants, Emma, Mérick et Bentley.

Dans l’espérance de la vie éternelle, nous trouvons du réconfort en sachant que Louis est maintenant réuni avec son petit-fils bien-aimé, Chance, ainsi qu’avec ses frères et sœurs, Suzanne, Marie, Yollande, Denis, Gaëtan et Claude.

Louis était un chrétien profondément croyant. Il vivait avec humilité, une foi inébranlable et une entière confiance dans les promesses de Dieu. Homme de peu de paroles, sa vie témoignait de son intégrité, de son ardeur au travail et de son profond amour pour sa famille et pour le Seigneur.

Nous trouvons du réconfort dans cette parole des Écritures : « Quitter ce corps, c’est demeurer auprès du Seigneur. »

La famille désire exprimer sa sincère reconnaissance au personnel de l’Hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst pour les excellents soins, leur compassion et leur bienveillance.

« J’ai combattu le bon combat, j’ai achevé la course, j’ai gardé la foi. »
