Obituary of Lucienne Picard

Nous avons le regret d'annoncer le décès de Mme Lucienne Picard (née Marchildon) le 12 septembre 2019 à l'âge de 94 ans. Elle laisse dans le deuil 4 enfants : Gilles de Kapuskasing, Yves (Diane) de Hearst, Jocelyne (Louis) de Gatineau et Sylvie (Donald) de Hearst. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil 15 petits-enfants : Dany, Alain et Nancy Roy de Hearst; Philippe et Patrick Picard de Kapuskasing; Julie, Martin et David Picard de Hearst; Isabelle, Annie, Pierre et Émilie Poirier de Gatineau; Julien, Jérôme et Jean-Félix Bezeau de Hearst, ainsi que 28 arrières-petits-enfants et 4 arrières-arrières-petits-enfants et son gendre: Jean Morin de Hearst.

Lucienne fut précédée dans la mort par son époux: Lucien, sa fille: Lise ainsi que plusieurs frères, soeurs, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs.

Lucienne, qui était parmi nous depuis 1925, s'est toujours tenue occupée. D'abord avec ses frères et soeurs, puis ensuite avec sa propre famille qu'elle a fondée avec Lucien. Elle s'est occupée de  ses enfants, petits-enfants et arrières petits-enfants. Elle cuisinait pour les siens et a participé grandement aux brunchs du dimanche qui se tenaient au sous-sol de l'église. Elle occupait également son temps à lire et écrire, à tisser et tricoter, chose qu'elle a fait jusqu'à la fin. Bref, une femme qui a fait beaucoup et qui a donné beaucoup. Merci pour tout Lucienne et bon voyage.

We regret to announce the death of Mrs. Lucienne Picard (born Marchildon) on September 12th, 2019 at the age of 94.  She is survived by 4 children: Gilles from Kapuskasing, Yves (Diane) from Hearst, Jocelyne (Louis) from Gatineau and Sylvie (Donald) from Hearst. She will also be missed by 15 grandchildren: Dany, Alain and Nancy Roy from Hearst; Philippe and Patrick Picard from Kapuskasing; Julie, Martin and David Picard from Hearst; Isabelle, Annie, Pierre and Émilie Poirier from Gatineau; Julien, Jérôme and Jean-Félix Bezeau from Hearst; as well as 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and also her son-in-law: Jean Morin from Hearst.

Lucienne was predeceased by her husband: Lucien, her daughter: Lise and many brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Lucienne, who had been with us since 1925, always kept busy. At first with her brothers and sisters, then with her own family that she founded with Lucien. She took care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cooked for her family and participated greatly in the Sunday brunches held in the basement of the church. She also spent time reading and writing, weaving and knitting, something she did to the end. In short, a woman who did a lot and gave a lot. Thank you for everything Lucienne and have a good trip.
