Obituary of Mary Solomon

We regret to announce the death of Mrs. Mary Solomon on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at the age of 89 at the Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst.  She was the beloved mother of 8 children: Freddy, Norman, Margaret, all from Constance Lake, Sinclair from Hearst, Doreen, Marjorie, Emma, all from Constance Lake and McLean from Thunder Bay.  She also leaves behind 4 brothers: James, Ken, Rennison and William.  Mary was also the cherished and adored grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband: Alex, her parents: Margaret and Joseph, her daughter Stella as well as many brothers and sisters.

Born and raised in English River in 1932, Mary met her loving husband Alex at the young age of 20 where together, they moved to Moose Factory to later on, settle and raise a beautiful family of 9 children in Constance Lake.  She loved nature, the outdoors and especially riding in the bush to get firewood.  When she was in good health, she enjoyed blueberrie picking, cone picking, going camping as well as picnics and family gatherings.  She leaves unforgettable memories in the heart of all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Mary Solomon will be resting at the St. Stevens Anglican Church in Constance Lake on Thursday, September 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for family only and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the public.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10th at the St. Stevens Anglican Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Phelan Scanlon officiating.

All persons attending the wake or funeral must register their attendance, as well as to clean their hands with hand sanitizer upon arrival, follow proper health and safety advice by wearing a suitable facemask and keep physical distancing of 2 metres for people who are not from the same household or their established social circle.

Nous avons le regret d'annoncer le décès de Mme. Mary Solomon le jeudi, 2 septembre 2021 à l'âge de 89 ans à l'Hôpital Notre-Dame de Hearst.  Elle était la mère bien-aimée de 8 enfants: Freddy, Norman, Margaret, tous de Constance Lake, Sinclair de Hearst, Doreen, Marjorie, Emma, tous de Constance Lake et McLean de Thunder Bay.  Elle laisse aussi derrière elle 4 frères: James, Ken, Rennison et William.  Mary était aussi la grand-maman adorée de plusieurs petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants.  Elle fut prédécédée dans la mort par son cher époux: Alex, ses parents: Margaret et Joseph, sa fille Stella ainsi que plusieurs frères et soeurs.

Mary est née et a grandi à English River en 1932 et au jeune âge de 20 ans, rencontre son époux Alex et ensemble ils choisissent de s'établir à Moose Factory.  Plus tard, ils décide de s'installer à Constance Lake pour fonder une belle et grande famille de 9 enfants.  Elle adorait la nature, le plein air et particulièrement faire des randonnées dans la forêt pour faire du bois de poêle.  Quand la santé lui fut meilleure, elle aimait bien aller aux bleuets, aux cocottes, faire du camping et les piques-niques familiaux.  Elle laisse des souvenirs inoubliables dans le coeur de tous ceux et celles qui l'ont connu et aimé.

Mme Mary Solomon reposera en l'église St. Stevens de Constance Lake ce jeudi, 9 septembre à partir de 14 h 00 à 16 h 00 pour la famille seulement et de 18 h 00 à 20 h 00 pour le public.  Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi, 10 septembre en l'église St. Stevens à 14 h 00 avec le Révérend Phelan Scanlon comme célébrant.

Toute personne présente aux visites ou funérailles doit s'enregistrer et se désinfecter les mains à son arrivée ainsi que de suivre les conseils de santé en portant un masque approprié et gardé une distance physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d'un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi.
