Obituary of Esther Love

We regret to announce the death of Mrs. Esther Love (born Ferris), on Thursday, May 18th 2023 at the age of 91, at the Foyer des Pionniers in Hearst.  She was the beloved mother of 3 children; Stephanie Love (Jacques Beaulieu) from Hearst, Ernie Gagnon from London and Henry Gagnon (Lynn Sugars) from British Columbia.  She will also be missed by her grandchildren; Lisa, Nicholas, Justin, Jeremie, Zachary and Isabelle, her great-grandchildren; Hunter, Lili May and Emmi Nova, as well as her brother Richard Ferris (Laura Ferris) from Constance Lake.

She was predeceased by her parents; William and Emily Ferris (born Baxter), her brother Gilbert Ferris, her sisters; Greta Bull and Caroline Gillis, her husband George Love and her grandson Mitchell Gagnon.

We remember Esther as a caring, gentle mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved to sew and make quilts in her free time.  She was a cook for MNR and before retirement, she and her husband George owned Mooseland and was well known for her butter tarts.   She leaves unforgettable memories in the heart of her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

A ceremony and burial will be held on August 26th, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at the Pagwa Cemetery.
