Obituary of Theresa Moonias

We regret to announce the death of Miss Theresa Moonias, at the age of 69, on October 22nd, 2023 at Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto.  She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Moonias from Constance Lake, as well as her 2 sisters; Mary Wesley from Constance Lake and Elaine Nawegahhaw from Aundeck Omning Kuning,ON.

She was predeceased by her parents; Xavier and Maggie Moonias, her sister and brothers; Emily Achneepineskun, Paul Moonias, Peter Moonias and Aloysius Moonias.

We remember Theresa as a caring mother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed spending time on the land, fishing, hunting, atving and snowmobiling. She also loved spending time with her family, dining out at restaurants, backyard cookouts with the family and attending church.  She also enjoyed out of town special services and she loved going on road trips with her daughter, filled with shopping.  When she was younger, she was very talented and made native crafts such as moccasins and trapped.  

Miss Theresa Moonias will be resting at the Full Gospel Church in Constance Lake on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. 

A ceremony will be held on Friday, October 27th, 2023 at 1 P.M. , with Mrs. Margaret Taylor officiating, followed by burial at the Constance Lake Burial Ground.
