Flo, Jonathan, Ken and Erwin......so sorry that I was not able to attend. My heart goes out to you and your families at this very sad time. "Mrs. Doreen" as I always called her, was just the most wonderful, kind "lady" that I have ever met. May all of your fondest memories help heal your broken hearts. We know she is now resting in peace and her lovely smile will never fade away.

Condolences to Florence, Jonathan, Ken and your families. Your mother was very special to us growing up and always very welcoming to the neighbourhood kids. My condolences to the Turner family. You are blessed to have had Doreen with you for such a long time. She was one of those people who is never forgotten, who was always cheerful, greeting everyone with a smile whether she was helping you at the bank, chatting at Church, or ran into you while shopping. To me, Doreen was a neighbour and the mother of school friends, but to my mother she was a very good friend, even taking her along on one of her trips to Scotland. To my mother, it was the trip of a lifetime. So, every time I am in Scotland I think of Doreen, which is where I happen to be now - a fitting place to be to receive news of her passing.

Condolences to Jonathan, Florence and Ken and your families. Your mom was a special lady and she was my town mom going back to grade 1 in 1950. Coming from the farm I had my first experiences with indoor plumbing (sorry about that) and taste treats that I cherished all my life. We had no electricity on the farm so I had my first taste of Jello with Dream Whip courtesy of Doreen. Red Jello is still my favorite dessert followed closely by her famous, unbeatable butter tarts. Whenever I came to Hearst she had a special batch waiting for me when I came to visit her. She even had a seperate plate of butter tarts with my name on it at her 80th birthday party. Lots of love thank you to my town Mom. Ernie
